New ZTE P945 Spotted:ZTE P945 Android News Android Headlines

ZTE seem to be diving into the world of phablets with a whole lot of fervor, where their earlier (and high end, of course) introductions would be the sub-brand Nuba and the Z5, and this time around, it has been discovered that there is an even more imposing phablet in the pipeline that is called the ZTE P945.

The ZTE P945 is said to pack in a massive 5.7-inch screen size, and while our expectations would veer towards it sport a Full HD resolution, I am sorry to disappoint you that this is not to be so, as the ZTE P945’s 5.7-inch screen comes with just a 720p resolution.
Apart from that, there will be a quad-core 1.2GHz processor that should be adequate to help get the job done for most ordinary tasks, although it is definitely slower compared to other high end quad-core powered phablets that are in the market.

ZTE readies itself for U.S. expansion in 2013Lixin Cheng, the department head of ZTE's U.S. division

"There are a lot of things already in the pipeline," he said, referring to the devices planned through U.S. carriers.
But other than just spending money on developing handsets (though Cheng does refer to it as ZTE's "bread and butter"), the company also plans on using the $30 million that it recently announced to expand its U.S. infrastructure, warehousing, and local research and development.
Of course, there are serious obstacles to face. Last fall, the U.S. House Intelligence Committee held a hearing expressing security concerns over alleged ties Huawei and ZTE had with the Chinese government.
Though both companies tried to reassure the lawmakers and the American public that there was nothing to worry about, a veil of suspicion from U.S. consumers remains.

ZTE gets more love from the carriers The Chinese phone maker confirms that its Grand S will come to the U.S., but will consumers know or care about the company?

The Grand S may mark ZTE's coming-out party in the U.S.

LAS VEGAS -- When the head of ZTE's North American business, Lixin Cheng, approached the U.S. carriers about building smartphones more than two years ago, he was met with skepticism.
During Cheng's meetings here at this year's Consumer Electronics Show, the carrier executives have told him: "Show me more."
It's indicative of the tremendous strides that ZTE has made in its relationships with the carriers, even as its brand continues to fly under the radar for consumers. After toiling in relative anonymity for the last two years building low-end and mass-market smartphones, the company seems poised to have a bigger impact in 2013.
